Grodno State Medical University, Belarus

Grodno State Medical University was established in the year 1958 and is pioneer in teaching MBBS to students from Belarus and abroad. It is a successor of the first medical school of Belarus which was The Grodno Medical Academy established in 1775. It recognized by WHO, MCI, and many more international MBBS professional groups. It is one of those universities which is having an advanced system of education, and it trains students with the help of updated education technology of medical study. The university embraces the high-tech methods of practical medicine that empower students to be focused, competitive and flexible in the medical field.

The institute provides best infrastructure for its MBBS students and the high class facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the institute is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centres in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every MBBS student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also encourages students to partake in these activities.

Grodno State Medical University is offering a low-cost MBBS program. The university is preparing doctors for near countries, and far abroad. Currently, more than 500 international students study at this university from 30 distinct countries including India, Sri Lanka, USA, Pakistan, France, Syria, Yemen, UK, Peru, etc.

The University gives training to not only physicians but also researchers and the teaching staff for its own needs. At present, the administration of the University comprises primarily of University graduates. On the basis of persons with doctoral and Ph.D. degrees, the Grodno State Medical University takes the leading spot in the Republic of Belarus.

From last 60 years, more than 16,000 MBBS students and nurses have graduated from the university. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus considerably increased enrollment in the University over the past few years.

Eligibility criteria: - Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board. Admission: - Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET). NEET Cut off (2022): - For General Category: - 117 marks, For reserved category: - 93 marks.

OTHER FACILITIES

Library: - The institute has a large library with 420,000 textbooks, journals, and periodicals.
Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities in the campus like table tennis, basketball, two large gyms, wrestling training room, running track, chess, etc.
Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab in the campus with modern equipment and tools.
Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab in the campus with the latest computer machines and tools.
Gym: - The institute has 2 large gyms in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.
Cafeteria: - The institute has a cafeteria in the campus in which they are providing healthy and different varieties of dishes.

HOSTEL

The university has 4 student hostels in the campus which is next to the main building of the university with the seating capacity of 1840 students at a time. Two buildings of the hostel are of flat type with an attached washroom and a kitchen. The rooms are centrally heated and fully furnished. The university is providing twin and three sharing rooms to the students with separate arrangements for both boys and girls. In the dining area, International students can prepare their national food. Foreign TV channels are also available. The cleaning staff clean the hostels on a regular basis and make the student rooms comfortable for them.

University distance from Hostel: - There are only 5 mins of walking distance in between the main campus of the university and the hostel.
Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in twin or three sharing occupancies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, budget, and availability.
Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and centrally air-conditioned with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, study table, etc. Moreover, there is a common study room is there in every hostel.
Laundry room info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student on that particular hostel.
Kitchen and Washroom info: - Each hostel room is attached with a washroom and a kitchen.
Boy and Girl Division info: - They have separate arrangements for both boys and girls.
Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for the student's safety.
Indian Mess availability info: - Indian mess is not there in the hostels but students do their own cooking in the kitchen or they can arrange it from some external restaurant like tiffin system.
Gym info: - The university has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc

IMPORTANT NOTES

First-year hostel fee is added in tuition fee, Mess charges will be extra ($100-150 per month ). Visa extension and health insurance is excluded . ($1 = 75₹ at the time of calculation ) . Hostel Charges are $500-800 per year

Grodno State Medical University was marked with Government Quality Award in 2011.
The University canteen was awarded the title of “The Best Trade Object of the Social Catering” (among municipal universities).
In 2019, the Grodno State Medical University was awarded a gold medal and a diploma of the Russian Academy of Sciences for training personnel in balneology, rehabilitation medicine and rehabilitation.
