Yaroslavl State Medical Universityis offering a low-cost medicine program. The university is preparing doctors for near countries, and far abroad. Currently, over 3800 students, interns, residents and graduate students are studying at the university, including 110 foreign citizens from 25 different countries of the world. More than 600 teachers work at 59 departments of the university, including more than 100 doctors of sciences and more than 330 candidates of science. The teaching staff includes an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Scientists of the Russian Federation, Honored Workers of the Higher School of the Russian Federation, Honored Doctors of the Russian Federation, Honored Workers of Health of the Russian Federation and Honored Workers of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The university has trained more than 30 thousand doctors and pharmacists, including for countries in Asia, Africa and America. More than 60 thousand doctors, pharmacists and teachers have gone through various forms of professional retraining and advanced training.
