The University of Oradea (Romanian: Universitatea din Oradea) is an accredited public university located in Oradea in north-western Romania. With 15 faculties, the university has a total of 123 fields of study for undergraduates and 151 post-graduate specialization degrees.
Students can study at undergraduate and postgraduate level across 15 different faculties, which are: arts, constructions and architecture, economics, electrical engineering and information technology, energy engineering, environmental protection, geography, tourism and sport, law, letters, management and technological engineering, medicine, orthodox theology, history, political and communication sciences, science and social humanistic sciences.
On campus, there’s accommodation for students, offering them the chance to live close to the hub of the university. The hostels are split by gender.
There’s also a library and sports facilities for students with an interest in extracurricular activities.
The university has established relationships with 214 universities around the world, carrying out academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad. The university also currently welcomes around 800 international students to its campus.
Every year, there’s The International Evening, which is organised by the faculty of medicine and pharmacy. During the event, students from all over the world offer a traditional dinner, while giving everyone the opportunity to show off their cultures and traditions through presentations and musical shows.
