The University of Latvia is one of the best choice for international students looking for MBBS studies abroad. The Faculty of Medicine offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, both in English and Latvian. The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Latvia is a young, ambitious academic community that offers an excellent environment for education, research and clinical practice. The Faculty combines professional education with internationally recognized basic science research. At present the faculty has enrolled more than 1,800 students and employs over 500 academics, making it one of the largest faculties in Latvia. Its international reputation stems from its capacity to offer scientific institutions access to funding from both national and international sources. The Faculty operates two university training hospitals with modern facilities for teaching purposes: St Anne's Hospital in Riga and Daugavpils City Hospital in Daugavpils.''.

Course - MD

Duration - 6 Years

Tuition Fee - EUR 10000-12000 Approx. (per year) 

Note: Tuition fee is different for each year of the MD course.

Eligibility Criteria - A candidate must have passed their 10+2 (Sr. secondary education) with a minimum of 60% marks in each subject such as physics, chemistry, and biology from any recognized board. 

Language of instruction - English & Latvian

The admission process is based on the marks obtained by the student in 12th std and skype interview which is conducted by the university.

An English proficiency certificate is also required. If you have completed your high school in English medium, in that case, you need to provide a declaration letter from your school.

If you belong to a country where English is the official language, you can use them to prove your proficiency. 

The above condition is not applicable to those who are citizens of English-speaking nations such as Australia, The Bahamas, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, St Vincent, and the Grenadines, the United Kingdom, United States of America.

The minimum age of a candidate should be 17 years before 31 December of an academic year.
