INTRODUCTION
Ternopil National Medical University started in the year 1957 as Ternopil Medical Institute. Ternopil National Medical University is one of the biggest medical university in Ukraine. It recognized by WHO, MCI, and many more international professional groups. Ternopil National Medical University is a tertiary medical school at the forefront of medical education and exploration. It continually grows and develops, and aiming to become a leading and enduring academic research institution for the preparation of highly-skilled and competitive professionals that are recognized by their peers across the world and are confident that their training is in demand in present society. It is considered as one of the most prestigious university in Ukraine and a major centre of advanced learning and dynamic thinking. The University has formed into a huge scale, a well-managed comprehensive university with good teaching staff. It is one of those universities which is having an advanced system of education, and it trains students with the help of updated education technology of medical study. The university embraces the high-tech methods of practical medicine that empower students to be focused, competitive and flexible in the world market.
The university is providing the best infrastructure for its students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the university is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also encourages students to partake in these activities.
Ternopil National Medical University is offering a low-cost medicine program. The university is preparing doctors for near countries, and far abroad. The teaching staff of Ternopil National Medical University includes more than 600 professors, among them 102 full-time professors, and 460 associate professors. More than 6530 students are currently studying in Ternopil National Medical University, which includes over 1977 foreign students from 53 countries. As of 2016, More than 700 students from African countries (48% of the total number of foreign students, including 351 from Nigeria). Students from Asia comprise 21% of total number of international students, and Europe comprises of 15% of the total number of foreign students. The language of guidance for the majority of foreign students is English.

• Required 6 passport size photographs should be 35mm x 45mm in Width and Height over matt paper with a white background.  
➢ Bank Statement of Father or Mother (PLEASE NOTE: Passbook copy is not acceptable) 
• 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it. 
• Minimum closing balance not less than Rs. 4.5 Lakhs. 
• In case an account is opened less than 6 months then a letter from the bank manager stating when the account was opened. 
➢ If the student has a Bank statement of himself or herself it is acceptable 
• 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it. 
• Minimum balance not less than Rs. 3.5 Lakhs.

➢ Sponsorship Affidavit on an Rs. 10 stamp paper (Original). This is applicable only if parents provide their Bank Statement, no need in case student provide his/her bank statement. ➢ Minor affidavit on Rs. 10 Stamp Paper from Father and Mother if Student is below 18 years old. 
➢ Student Pan Card Copy. ( For Dollar exchange & Forex Card)

OTHER FACILITIES
  • Library: - The university has a library with the collection of 400,000 textbooks, journals, periodicals, etc.
  • Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities in the campus like table tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming etc.
  • Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab in the campus with modern equipment and tools.
  • Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab in the campus with latest computer machines and tools.
  • Gym: - The institute has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.
HOSTEL
The institute provides hostels to international students in which they are providing well-furnished rooms with all the necessary facilities like a bed, mattress, cafeteria, WIFI Internet facility etc.
Some of the other important facts about the hostel are:-
  • University distance from Hostel: - There is a walking distance between the hostel and the university campus.
  • Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in double, and triple sharing occupies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement,budget, and availability.
  • Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and centrally air-conditioned with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, study table, wardrobes, etc.Moreover, there is a common study room is there in every hostel.
  • Laundry room info: - Each floor of hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student of that hostel. Laundry room is shared with 4 to 5 washing machine sand all the necessary utensils.
  • Kitchen info: - Each room is having an attach kitchen on which student can cook their food whenever they want. Students will need to supply with their own kitchen utensils.
  • Washroom and Toilet info: - There is an attached washroom and toilet in every rooms of the hostel.
  • Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are separate.
  • Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for the student safety. Security staff is always there for the security of the students.
  • Indian Mess availability info: - Indian food is available in the mess of the hostel. Mess is having the seating capacity of 50 students at a time.
  • Gym info: - The university has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc.

FACULTY

The history of the Faculty of Medicine is closely connected with the history of the University, as the General medicine faculty (later renamed into the Faculty of Medicine) has existed since 1957, that is the year of the University foundation.

Two educational buildings housed the departments at the opening of the faculty. The clinical base was provided by the City Hospital that had been functioning then as the Regional Hospital. Morphological building, Regional Hospital and a new hostel were under construction. 19 departments began functioning at the Institute, 66 teachers were working there (including 1 M.D., and 17 Candidates of Med. Sc.). Standing at the starting line there were young teachers-scientists, later on professors, honoured scientists K.V.Kovanov, Yu.T.Komorovsky, A.I. Lokay, I.O.Sytnyk, M.P.Skakun.

624 students studied at three courses then, 210 being first-year students. 120 second- and 224 third-year students moved voluntarily from medical institutes of Ukraine, Russia and other republics of the former USSR. The Dean’s Office and Departments did their utmost to organize educational and methodical process and to control the level of students’ training.

1960-1961 academic year marked the final stage of the Institute formation. The Morphologic building and the regional polyclinic began functioning. The construction of the Institute principal clinical base, the Regional hospital, was completed. The institute numbered 1360 students and 30 departments with 148 teachers working (7 M.Ds and 66 Candidates of Sciences among them).
