INTRODUCTION
This is a non-profitable private medical school that was established in 2011 in Bangladesh. The main campus of the college is located beside the Dhaka-Aricha Highway at Monno City, Gilando under Ghior Upazila in the district of Manikganj of Dhaka division and it is affiliated with the University of Dhaka.
It gives a 5-year course program which leads to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, and a one-year internship after completing the course is compulsory. The degree of the college is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. The internship is compulsory for obtaining the registration from the BMDC to practice medicine.

Monno Medical College was established by Harunar Rashid Khan Mono in 2011.

 The college is located in the Monno city, Ghior Upazila which is 7 km west of Manikganj, on the south side of Dhaka-Aricha Highway. The academic building of the college is ten-storied and there are separate hostels for students, interns, doctors, and professors which includes separation in dormitories via boys and girls as well. The hospital is 5 storied and 500 seated.

As a constituent college, it is affiliated with Dhaka University and the chairman of the college is Afroza Khan Rita. The principal of the college is Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman.

In the college, there are 4 lecture galleries with a computer multimedia projector, 7 laboratories, 3 museums, 1 dissection room, 1 library, and 1 computer lab for the students.

For students, there are 4 storied hostels which named as H.R.Khan Boys Hostel and Hurun Nahar Girls Hostel. Besides this, there is an Abdus Shukur Khan Doctors dormitory for male-interns, and for female-interns, there is a Rabeya Khatun Doctors Dormitory. Moreover, there are quarters named H.R. Khan Doctor’s quarter and Mono Professors Doctor quarter respectively.

Admission procedure for Bangladesh students is conducted centrally by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) in all the medical college (private or government). There is a written multi-choice question exam and candidates are selected on the basis of the score of this test by adding the grades of their secondary school certificate and higher secondary school certificate. The college is allowed to admit 80 students annually in which 50% are foreigners as of December 2017.

  • Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).

  • Library: - The college library is well designed and enriched which is equipped with advanced study materials and secured for a comfortable and noise-free study environment. There are plenty of books from different departments and tastes apart from medical sciences which also include journals, periodicals, and daily newspapers. E-mail, audio-visual, and internet facilities are also available in the college library and students can also avail of the facility of photocopy in the library.
  • Sports: - The College is encouraged to participate in indoor and outdoor games, sports, debates, and other extra curriculum activities in addition to routine academic activities. The Nationals days like Language Day, Victory day is celebrated in the college and observed by the students with the support of the college authority. Also, there is a cultural week program annually with the active participation of students, teachers, and other staff members together.

  • Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab on the campus with the latest computer machines and tools.
  • Gym: - The institute has a gym on the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.
HOSTEL
The College is having ten storied building with three spacious lifts and having a total floor space of 1,22,000 sq.ft. The total area of the college campus is of about more than 13 acres of land with scenic beauty. Also, a lake inside the campus has made it a visually lucrative place for all. College accommodation includes two separate four-storied teacher’s quarters, a four-storied professor’s quarter; two different hostels with 250 seats for boys and girls, a wide playground, a two-storied mosque, a two-storied cafeteria, a doctors dormitory, and a staff quarters.
Both college and hospital are residential and there are two separate hostels for male and female students. Also, there is an individual hostel for internees doctors within the campus and very close to the college building. For foreign students, individual blocks are allocated. The hostels of the college is decorated with luxurious furniture and modern commodities. Moreover, students are served hygienic and nutritious food according to their food habits. Also, continuous and uninterrupted water supply and electricity are ensured by the college individual power plant.
