Medical University of Bialystok
The Medical University of Bialystok is a modern, dynamically developing public university, the mission of which is to serve the society through innovative MBBS education, conducting research, development and implementation works at the highest international level, and the development of clinical activities in line with the progress of medical knowledge. The MBBS program is recognised by MCI (Medical Council of India), WHO and other medical bodies. The number of 131 titular professors and 162 habilitated doctors out of 888 academic teachers is one of the highest rates and places the University among the top universities in Poland. The employees of the Medical University of Bialystok are experts in their fields, sitting on scientific committees, editorial offices of magazines, as well as national and provincial consultants. A dynamic and creative MBBS staff also has great potential in acquiring external funds, both scientific and EU funds, and in the commercialization of research.
The Medical University of Bialystok is a precursor and a leader in conducting work on artificial intelligence in medicine and contributing to its development of large-scale research, including genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, radiomics and bioinformatics. The university has an ultra-modern research and MBBS teaching base, which includes, among others: University Clinical Hospital, Euro regional Pharmacy Center, Didactic and Scientific Center of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Clinical Research Center, Experimental Medicine Center, Innovative Research Center, Bioinformatics Center and Data Analysis, Molecular Imaging Laboratory and Medical Simulation Center.
The full educational offer of MUB includes: Medical Analytics, Biostatistics, Dietetics, Hgiena Dental, Electro radiology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Cosmetology, Medical, Dental and Speech Therapy, Nursing, Obstetrics, Emergency Medical Services, Dental Techniques and Public Health as well as doctoral and postgraduate.
Confirmation of the significant position of the University is the high parametric rating of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, according to which, on a four-level scale, all three MUB faculties have the A category and the KNOW status (2012 - 2017). In addition, MUB, as the only Polish university, won a prestigious grant for doctoral studies in the COFUND competition as part of Maria Skłodowska-Curie's Activities in the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Framework Program. In 2019, the University took 11th place among all universities in the competition for a research university.
Currently, almost 5,500 students study 16 medical faculties, including over 400 in English. Foreign students come from, among others from Norway, Sweden, India, USA, Canada, Germany, Spain, Saudi Arabia, etc.
