Akaki Tsereteli State University

Akaki Tsereteli State University established in the year 1930. It’s a public university and Giorgi Ghavtadze is the rector of the university. Akaki Tsereteli State University is one of the biggest medical universities in Georgia teaching MBBS. It is recognized by WHO, MCI, and many more international medical professional groups. Akaki Tsereteli State University has formed into a huge scale, a well-managed comprehensive university with good teaching staff. It is one of those universities which has an advanced system of MBBS education.

It trains students with the help of updated education technology of medical study. The university embraces the high-tech methods of practical medicine that empower students to be focused, competitive and flexible in the world market. The university is providing the best infrastructure for its students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the university is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences and Student Exchange programs. It has been certified by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. Akaki Tsereteli State University offers degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several courses. The university offers various faculties like Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Pedagogics, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Technical Engineering, Faculty of Maritime Transportation, Faculty of Agriculture.

COURSE & ELIGIBILITY

Students who have 50% marks and above in Physics, chemistry, biology, and English are eligible to apply for MBBS studies at this university. They should be over 17 years of age according to the MCI guidelines
Admission will be on the basis of Interview on skype which conducts by the university
NEET Qualifying Scorecard is mandatory
NEET Cut-Off (2022):- 117 marks for general category, 93 for reserved category

• 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it.

• Minimum closing balance not less than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.

• In case account is opened less than 6 months then letter from bank manager stating

when the account was opened.

➢ No objection letter/ Sponsorship Affidavit on a Rs. 100 stamp paper (Original).

Library: - The university has a library with a large collection of books, periodicals, and journals.
Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities in the campus like table tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming etc.
Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab in the campus with modern equipment and tools.

HOSTEL

Hostel

The university has a hostel in which they are providing a well-furnished room with all the necessary amenities like bed, chair, mattress, air conditioner, water heater, etc. The infrastructure and facilities of hostels are excellent and Indian food is served at the hostels to give students a homely feel.

Some of the other important facts about the hostel are:-

1. University distance from Hostel: - The hostel is located inside the university campus and the distance between the university and the hostel is not more than 1km.

2. Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in double, and triple sharing occupancies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, budget, and availability.

3. Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and centrally air-conditioned with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, study table, refrigerator, etc. Moreover, there is a common study room is there in every hostel.

4. Laundry room info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student of that hostel.

5. Kitchen info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common kitchen which can be used by every student of that particular floor. Kitchens are shared with 2-3 electric burners, and a microwave, where students can cook their meals whenever they want to do.

6. Washroom and Toilet info: - There is an attached washroom and toilet in every room of the hostel.

7. Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are separate.

8. Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for the student's safety. Security staff is always there for the security of the students.

9. Indian Mess availability info: - Indian mess is available in the hostel in which they are providing healthy and nutritious food to students.

10. Gym info: - The university has a gym on the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc.
