INTRODUCTION

Far Eastern Federal University

Far Eastern Federal University is a federal institution of higher education that teaches MBBS to students from both Russia and abroad. It is accredited and funded by the Russian Ministry of Education. FEFU is the oldest, largest, and highest-ranking university in eastern Russia which was established in 1899 during the Russian Empire era, by special order of Tsar Nicholas II. As per the ratings of the Russian Ministry of Education, FEFU is one of the top five Russian MBBS universities and has been listed as number two in a recent publication of the top national universities rankings.

It is the only university of eastern Russia that is accredited as a scientific university by the Russian Ministry of Industry, Science, and Technology. The university earned this accreditation for its scientific achievements because according to the Science Citation Index, FEFU faculty members contribute 78% publications of all Russian Far East universities and colleges in worldwide peer-reviewed scientific journals.

The university is also acting as a national leader in developing relations with Pacific Rim countries, and a major bridge between Russian education and worldwide university society. The university is having 40+ branches which include Russia, the United States, Japan, China, and South Korea. It has developed more than 80 partnership projects, including 64 academic exchange programs, with universities in the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Thailand, India, and Vietnam both for MBBS and non-MBBS courses.

School of Medicine is the medical faculty of the Far Eastern Federal University.

Founded in 2021, it succeeds the School of Biomedicine in medical training in the Far Eastern Federal University. Medical instruction in FEFU began in 2013., and English-medium instruction began in 2016. Aside from Russian-medium programs, FEFU offer an English-medium program "General Medicine". Currently, we teach around 500 students on this program. Far Eastern is a public school, that means we are funded and directed by the Russian Government and follow Russian state educational standards.

COURSE & ELIGIBILITY

Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved category) marks with PCB from any recognized board.
Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).
NEET Cutoff (2022) - NEET Score must be for General Categories - 117 Marks & For Reserved Categories - 93 Marks.

SCHOLARSHIP

The Scholarship (Quota for international students) includes:

Tuition fee waiver for the whole period of study on the chosen program A monthly allowance in amount depending on the chosen program and your academic performance at FEFU:

1 700 – 9 000 rubles per month for Bachelor and Specialist degree students
3 000 – 9 000 rubles per month for Master degree students
7 500 – 11 500 rubles per month for Ph.D. students

The scholarship does NOT include:

All other expenses including all visa and registration fees, transportation (air tickets, railway tickets, transfers to/from FEFU campus, etc.), medical insurance and other medical expenses, dormitory fees, meals, etc.

OTHER FACILITIES

Library: - The university has a library with a wide range of books, journals, and periodicals. It has 2 million volumes in Russian, German, English, French, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Czech, Spanish and many other languages dating from the 16th - 21st centuries. Full-text online access is provided to thousands of worldwide journals via 71 national and international e-databases. FEFU was among the first in Russia to have installed the automated library system Virtua (VTLS Corporation). FEFU library is very proud of book collections donated by academician M.N.Tikomirov and many famous researchers and professors of the Russian Far East A.A. Binevsky, A.P. Derevyanko, N.V. Kocheshkov, G.A. Otaina, L.B. Zus, E.V. Shavkunov, A.K. Popov, and many others.
Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities on the campus like table tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming pool, etc.
Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab on the campus with modern equipment and tools.
Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab on the campus with the latest computer machines and tools.
Gym: - The institute has a gym on the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.

HOSTEL

The university has total 5 hostels in the university in which the university is providing well- furnished rooms with all the necessary facilities like a bed, mattress, cafeteria, WIFI Internet facility etc.. All dormitories provide conditions for living, studying and leisure. There are reading rooms, recreation rooms, gyms, sports grounds, a leisure center, Internet access.

The territories of the dormitories are protected. - The hostels are available in two and personal suites sharing occupancies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, and budget. Every floor of the each dormitory building has kitchen areas for students' individual cooking with all the required kitchen equipment installed. Besides, the dormitory buildings are equipped with the laundry rooms for students' individual washing. The following accommodation options are available for the FEFU students: double rooms, two-room suites for 3 tenants and two-room suites for 4 tenants.
