INTRODUCTION

Stavropol State Medical University started in the year 1938. Since that time huge number of highly skilled specialists are working over the world which were studied at the University. The university has trained more than 30,000 doctors since its establishment. Stavropol State Medical University is one of the biggest medical university in Russia. It recognized by WHO, MCI, and many more international professional groups. It is an institution of advanced education that trains specialists in numerous fields of knowledge and completes research. It is considered as one of the most prestigious university in Russia and a major centre of advanced learning and dynamic thinking. The University has formed into a huge scale, a well-managed comprehensive university with good teaching staff. It is one of those universities which is having an advanced system of education, and it trains students with the help of updated education technology of medical study. The university embraces the high-tech methods of practical medicine that empower students to be focused,competitive and flexible in the world market.

The university is providing the best infrastructure for its students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the university is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also encourages students to partake in these activities.

Stavropol State Medical University is offering a low-cost medicine program. The university is preparing doctors for near countries, and far abroad. Stavropol State Medical University start admitting international students since 1961. Since then, over 1700 physicians, residents, and fellows from 82 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America have graduated from the University.Nowadays, more than 500 foreign students from 34 countries of the world are trained at three faculties of the University: General Medicine, Pediatrics and Dentistry. The University has all the conditions which are necessary for the successful gaining of medical knowledge. The international students exclusively perform laboratory and clinical tests and take advantage of modern learning technologies.

Stavropol State Medical University is effectively integrating into the pan-European educational space. The university works together with the non-profit partnership National Union of Medical Students, which joins medical universities in 14 cities of the Russian Federation. Participating in international exchange programs, students of STMU study the experience of other nations in the field of science and health.

Library: - The university has a modern and electronic library with the collection of 500,000 books and periodicals, its own editions, the newspaper “Medicus” and a scientific practice magazine.
Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities in the campus like table tennis,basketball, volleyball, swimming pool etc.
Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab in the campus with modern equipment and tools.
Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab in the campus with latest computer machines and tools.
Gym: - The institute has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells,treadmill.

HOSTEL

The institute has total 4 hostels in the university in which the university is providing well-furnished rooms with all the necessary facilities like a bed, mattress, cafeteria, WIFI Internet facility etc.

Some of the other important facts about the hostel are: -

University distance from Hostel: - The hostel is located inside the university campus and there is a walking distance of 5 mins between the hostel and university campus.
Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in two, three, sharing occupies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, budget, and availability.
Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and centrally air-conditioned with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, study table, wardrobes, etc. Moreover, there is a common study room is there in every hostel.
Laundry room info: - Every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student of that hostel.
Kitchen info: - Every hostel is having a common kitchen which can be used by every student of that particular hostel. Kitchens are shared with 2-3 electric burners, and a microwave, where students can cook their meals whenever they want to do.
Washroom and Toilet info: - There is an attached washroom and toilet in every rooms of the hostel. Moreover, there is a common shower room in the ground floor of the hostel.
Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are separate.
Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for the student safety. Security staff is always there for the security of the students.
Indian Mess availability info: - Indian food is available in the mess of the hostel.
Gym info: - The university has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc.

IMPORTANT NOTES

First-year hostel fee is added in tuition fee, Mess charges will be extra ($100-150 per month ). Visa extension and health insurance is excluded . ($1 = 68₹ at the time of calculation ) .
