Liceo de Cagayan University

The Liceo de Cagayan University is a non-sectarian university in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. It has twelve colleges and five departments. It is the second largest university in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental after Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. MBBS degree from Liceo de Cagayan University is recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI), WHO and other medical bodies across the globe.

Liceo de Cagayan University - College of Medicine aims to become the leading medical school in the country, producing culture friendly MBBS students, who are competitive and professionally competent, well equipped with skills, who have developed the attitude of continually improving their knowledge, girded with wisdom, integrity, compassion, devoted in the service of God, and dedicated to responding to the health needs of the Filipino and the global community.

The curriculum structure of MBBS education at Liceo College of Medicine follows a Discipline-based Approach utilizing the best strategies of teaching and learning on basic sciences with clinical applications and clinical sciences with basic sciences correlations. This approach will utilize the Spiral Model as the framework of the curriculum. The MBBS curriculum implementation shall cover four years of academic and clinical training wherein the fourth-year level will be devoted to a 12-month clerkship program.

Liceo College of Medicine was founded in 1955 by Rodolfo Pelaez of Cagayan de Oro City and his wife Elsa Pelaez of Cebu City. The institution got its University/Level III status in 1998 from the Commission on Higher Education. In 2003, Rafaelita P. Golez served as President of the university. It holds the most number of accreditations from PACU-COA in Region X. During its first 25 years, the Liceo College of Medicine was only a tertiary-level institution offering courses in law, commerce, engineering and liberal arts. It was not until 1981 that the Basic Education Department, consisting of the primary and secondary levels, completed the three curricular levels that Liceo College of Medicine is currently offering.

• Candidate must have passed their 10+2 (sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% marks with PCB from any recognized board.
• Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET) - For General Category: - 147 marks, For reserved category: - 113 marks.
