The medical university of Lodz was established in the year 2002. It is the largest MBBS hospital unit in Poland and a European research center. The medical university was found on December 1, 2002, as a state higher education institution. The university tops the list of preferred universities for MBBS in Poland among Indian students as well as other international students.

The university's organizational structure and activities are regulated by the University Statute and other legal acts of the Republic of Poland. The Medical University of Lodz is a public university under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and financed from public funds. It is considered to be one of the best options for studying abroad.

The medical university of Lodz is located in the city called Lodz and it is around 130 km away from the capital city of Poland known as Warsaw. The Medical University of Lodz offers a full-time study program. The education conforms to the standards of the Polish medical higher education institutions and meets EU standards.

The medical university of Lodz is currently offering many courses. Its mission is focused on: educating students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing as well as in other medicine-related disciplines; educating research staff (Ph.D. programs), and conducting research and scientific activity.

It is set in a beautiful location on the central campus of the university. The university has tie-ups with 07 teaching hospitals in Poland so it can provide its students with all kinds of medical exposure. It also has tie-ups with 6 research institutes and medical simulation centers.

The session starts in the month of September and the application process is completely online. One has to register,  fill out the application form, and upload their documents. After the submission of an application, a student will have to qualify for an entrance exam conducted by the university or you can opt for the option of qualifying MCAT, GAMSAT, or UKCAT exam.

Duration - 6 Years

Tuition Fee - EUR 11800 (per year)

Eligibility Criteria - A candidate must have passed their 10+2 (Sr. secondary education) with a minimum of 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.

Language of instruction - English & Polish

The admission process is based on the marks obtained by a student in the entrance exam which is conducted by the university/BMAT/ MCAT/ GAMSAT/ UKCAT.

An English proficiency certificate is also required. If you belong to a country where English is the official language or if you have completed higher school in English, then you can use them as proof of your proficiency.

The above condition is not applicable to those who are citizens of English-speaking nations such as the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia.

The Medical University of Lodz provides 1,600 places for both Polish and foreign students on its campus. The majority of teaching departments are located in the dorm’s vicinity.
