Tbilisi State Medical University
Tbilisi State Medical University is one of the biggest medical universities in Georgia imparting MBBS education. It is recognized by WHO, MCI, and many more international professional MBBS groups. Tbilisi State Medical University has experienced the Institutional Evaluation Program, performed by the Association of European Universities.
TSMU passed the authorization process successfully and unconditionally in 2018. From 2023, as per the World Federation of Medical Education, only the diploma of the university whose medical programs will undergo International Accreditation will be recognized within the Euro-Atlantic space and now the university is getting ready for this important step. TSMU is attractive for prospective students not only in Georgia but in different countries around the world because of their successful undergraduate, postgraduate, continuous professional development programs, Master’s, doctoral as well as higher vocational educational programs. There are nearly 2500 international students from 72 countries which make the obvious evidence of international recognition of Tbilisi State Medical University and as per the statistics; every third student of the university is an international student.
TSMU collaborates with more than 40 universities and centers by which international scientific cooperation instigated the launch of numerous joint projects of International or National significance.
