National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2021 Result is likely to be released soon now. Supreme Court of India, SC has stayed the Bombay High Court order asking National Testing Agency to conduct re-exam for 2 students. With the order, NTA is now free to declare the result for the medical entrance examination.

Bench comprising of Justices L Nageswara Rao, Sanjiv Khanna and B. R Gavai has issued notice on the special leave petition filed by NTA against the Bombay HC order of October 20. The order had asked NTA to conduct re-exam for 2 students of Maharashtra who were given wrong Answer Sheets. With the order, NEET 2021 Result was delayed as the agency could not release the result without conducting the exam.

SC Bench has given the stay to the order, in turn allowing NTA to release the result, has also taken cognizance of the fact that 2 students were prejudiced due to no fault of theirs. While it has assured of looking into the matter, it has also allowed NTA to go ahead and declare NEET 2021 Results for the undergraduate examination. The matter of the 2 students would be examined later, the bench added.

Bombay High Court had earlier passed an order, asking the agency to conduct re-exam of two students who were given wrong answer sheet by the invigilator, and hence not at fault. It had also asked NTA to conduct the exam and release the result within 2 weeks’ time.

Following the same, NTA moved Supreme Court, seeking a stay on the order and seeking permission to declare the result. While the Result Date has not been announced, it is being expected that NEET 2021 Result would be released soon now. Tentatively it is expected by end of the week with a high likelihood of result declaration by Saturday, October 30, 2021. Information on the NEET Result date, however, would be available only on nta.ac.in and neet.nta.ac.in.
